She lived in Hong Kong till her sixth when the family moved to Kaohsiung in Taiwan, where she lived between her sixth and twelfth. Her father was business man and her mother was born and raised in Hong Kong. She currently lives in Denver (Colorado) with her husband.
She studied at the Youchang Elementary School, where she learned mandarin Chinese during her time in Taiwan. She studied at the middle school where she graduated after her return in Hong Kong when she was 18. She learned mandarin Chinese and took piano and dance lessons when she was younger.
She was discovered accidentally by television director Hsiao Hsianhui during a school dancing performance when she was 15. She was approached to play country girl A Mun in the television series "Fatherland", what she could combine with school, because the recordings did not take much time.
